From Where to Begin MS-ACCESS?
Beginner’s Guide to Ms-Access
I know you are busy enough preparing your exams nearing every moment. Don’t worry! Just utilize your time optimally and try to study as much as you can.
As I talked in my earlier post, participants are more competent in Windows, Ms-Word, Ms-Excel and PowerPoint but they are lot bewildered for HTML and Access. I showed you the site where you can start learning.
Some of the friends asked what for is this Access? I hope you are not that unaware about the topic, when you are preparing to appear in competitive exam. Anyway here is a website that can be pretty useful to start learning Ms-Access.
PROFSR.COM
After making a small research on different tutorials presented online in Internet, I decided to refer profsr.com. There are some other better ones, but they are paid services and I could not make study on them, since I’m not going to pay to know how useful they are. There might be other tutorials too and you are welcome to share if you found a good one.
If it were only for appearance I would have easily skipped this website. It is only when I read most of the pages from the tutorial to realize the quality of content to refer you.
The tutorial is arranged in 14 different lessons that flows as below:
Tutorial Contents
Lesson 1 – Microsoft Access Introduction
Lesson 2 – Designing the application – tables, fields, data types, properties
Lesson 3 – Creating the database – primary key, creating tables
Lesson 4 – Defining Table relationships – referential integrity, primary and foreign keys
Lesson 5 – Entering data into Tables – data view, sorting and ordering
Lesson 6 – Creating data-entry forms – data validation, default values
Lesson 7 – Building simple Queries – sorting, selection criteria, working with dates
Lesson 8 – More complex Queries – multiple tables, linking, functions
Lesson 9 – Creating a Master/Detail form
Lesson 10 – The Microsoft Access Application Menu – the Switchboard
Lesson 11 – Creating Macros – autoexec, conditions
Lesson 12 – Writing Reports
Lesson 13 – Sales Analysis Reports with Microsoft Access

I hope you will make the best use of the site and improve your Ms-Access skills.
Happy Learning.
